Local Web Company Launches New Web Site

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind (May 7, 2009) - A Web site design and development firm based near Purdue University is launching a completely new interactive version of their Web site today.
Stormfront Productions, Inc. has had the same Web site for the last four years. Today's launch marks the third redesign for the firm since its first site which launched in 2003. Each consecutive design has been developed around the industry standards of the time.
The new design includes several Web 2.0 features such as a new focus on the company's Web blog, The Digital Buzz, and connections to employee's Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. Web 2.0, which relies heavily on various social networking applications, has come to describe Web sites that involve content and user interactions like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Digg or Flickr.
"People today expect a certain amount of accessibility with their accounts," said chief executive officer Rob Theodorow. "Increasingly they want an interactive type of Web site that engages them as a consumer."
Chief technology officer Brandon Beatty says he is happy with another feature the new site offers.
"Our customer care center was a real priority in the new design," said Beatty. "We wanted to make it easy for clients to access their billing profiles, make payments online, and to continue our pledge to offer quality technical support. I'm pretty sure we accomplished exactly that."
The overall look of the page is significantly different as well.
Theodorow toyed with several designs over the last year before being satisfied and sticking with one. He explained that the site needed to have the ability to adapt and continue to bring growth to the company in the same way the old site did.
Starting in early May, Stormfront Productions' employee roster will include 10 employees and interns. The growth coincides with the increase in business Theodorow says the company experienced over the last six months despite the downed economy.
"Web sites are a more cost effective way to run a business," said Theodorow. "In this economy people are trying their best to stretch the value of a dollar, and our services offer them a way to effectively present their company to a larger audience than most could do on their own. Our new site does a really great job in explaining why that is, and also gives the consumer a place to ask questions."
The new Web site is the second major change the company has experienced over the last several months as their offices recently moved locations. Leaving behind the MacDonald building on 302 Ferry St., Stormfront relocated just over a block away into a much more spacious building on Main St. where they are the only tenants.
Michael Frick, who joined the company just prior to its move for application development, said he was happy for both the new work space and the new Web site. "Before the move there wasn't much room for another full sized desk," said Frick. "I had to sit at a desk that barely had space for my monitor let alone the keyboard."
The new venue has space for up to 20 work stations.
