Local Full Service Online Media Company Grows Digitally
Lafayette, IN (June 21, 2008) - A company based out of Lafayette, IN grew a bit larger this week in a huge way. The company’s already very comprehensive site added a new Web 2.0 feature in its “Digital Buzz.” Digital Buzz is more or less a way for the site to blog recent accomplishments while receiving feedback from clients and internet surfers alike.
Blogs are nothing new in the digital world, so the guys at Stormfront had quite a bit to say as to exactly why theirs is so much different from the countless other blogs and social media outlets already at the public’s disposal. The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Tommy Miller, had much to say on behalf of the company:
“A lot of what is out there is little more than people talking about what’s going on in their lives or at their company. This is not necessarily a bad thing, it just doesn’t provide much for people not directly involved with those who are publishing their thoughts or observations. Digital Buzz is a way for us to share the latest industry developments and breakthroughs. We are in a market that requires constant learning, and so often the technical separates us from our clients. By keeping the technical succinct and easy to understand we feel we are offering a quality source of info for the consumer while still contributing the personal touch people have come to expect from blogs."
By posting information about projects or industry advancements they are working with, as well as by relating their views on what does or doesn’t work about specific types of marketing, Stormfront hopes to offer something more to their customers and those people just looking to buff up on information.
Following the example of several large corporations, Stormfront has given a public face to their private company. Developing their forum from the open source program Movable Type, SFP presents a clean, easy to read format with the ability to sign up, log in, and comment on all of the blogs they post. The site also contains several pictures of the office and the guys hard at work.
“This is a great way to relate to the online consumer community”, said Robert Theodorow, CEO of Stormfront Productions. “We wanted to offer something more to the people who come to our site. It was already full of information, but Digital Buzz now provides a forum for our readers to respond, learn and contribute digitally.”
The site launched last week with several posts and has already gained several new members.
