Florida Tan Centres was one of the first tanning salons in the United States with multiple locations. We opened our first locations in 1984 and have since opened tanning centres throughout Indiana and Illinois. Additionally, we have tanning centres in Ohio, which we operate under the trade name TAN ONE, our sister company.

During our more than 20 years of continuous operation, hundreds of thousands of tanning enthusiasts have used our facilities. Our vision has remained the same since the very first tanner, which is best illustrated by our salon Mission Statement:

Our mission is to consistently provide each customer fast, friendly and professional service, a superior tan, an exceptionally clean centre and a totally relaxing and enjoyable experience each visit.

We are proud of the many honors we have received and flattered by the recognition from our customers and the tanning industry. We are the only salon in the Midwest to be selected as one of the “Industry’s TOP 250 SALONS” by Looking Fit Magazine for ten years in a row. This is an exceptional achievement, which we could not have achieved without our loyal customers and the hard work and dedication of our staff.

All our locations are conveniently located and are open seven days a week with extended hours. Our centres vary in size, ranging from 18 tanning beds to 28 tanning beds. Because of the number of tanning beds and the variety of tanning equipment we offer, our customers rarely have to wait.

FROM PAUL FLESCHNER, PRESIDENT:
I believe that our work here, this business, has a life-giving purpose. We transform our company earnings into something good: charitable donations. We really change our cash into something new: help for those in need. When my uncle, Larry Paul Fleschner, passed away in 2007, he wanted to give back to our guests and to the larger human community. To say, Thank You for your trust, for giving us the opportunity to serve. By doing business with us, our guests participate in many good works of charity and kindness. This is something to be proud of: participation in our community of blessings. No matter how dark the day, we each have the potential to shine through. FROM ROBERT BRANCH, ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT:
Life is really short, and it's rare that you get a chance through any interpersonal experience, to make a positive difference in the lives of others--and that's the goal of this organization, to help those in need. The paint on the walls, the floors, even the world class tanning equipment; all of these are surface qualities--and everyone sees them, and they are important to create a pleasing environment for our guests and employees. But the real goal of this organization should not get lost in the paint on the walls--it's our deepest wish that the real mission of this organization is to cause positive change through its charitable work--and through the world class guest experience provided by our tanning care professionals. Our customers have a choice for where to do business. We want to best serve the needs of our guests. We want to be the best and provide the best experience by nurturing that experience and by delivering positive results through our charitable giving.

FROM BETH DOWDEN, OFFICE MANAGER/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT:
One life touching another’s life.  Even the most trivial accomplishment of our day can make a huge impact on someone else’s life. The mission of this organization is a simple one…to impact and touch other’s lives, whether from the smallest task done by a tanning care professional in our salons to the biggest opportunity of giving back to our communities through our charitable contributions.  Our customers should not only appreciate the fact that we care, but should embrace that feeling and carry it with them from the moment they walk out of our salons and on to wherever life may take them that day.  We have touched their lives...they can touch another’s.  We are all impacting each other’s lives and keeping that thought in the forefront of what we do.  How we serve others every day will let our customers and our communities know how much we care.
