& Overview
Purdue University Energy Center cordially invites you to participate in
the inaugural Annual ECHI symposium, which will take place at Purdue University
on April 5-6, 2006.
The ECHI Symposium will comprise invited Plenary Lectures, invited keynote
lectures, invited oral presentations and a poster session dealing with
the various aspects of hydrogen generation, storage, and utilization.
The technical contributions will be peer-reviewed by a scientific committee.
The ECHI Symposium will bring together the international community of
scientists working in academia, research institutes, and industrial laboratories
as well as policy makers from governments. Contributions will range from
nanotechnology to findings in environmental sciences and societal impacts.

The ECHI will be presenting an annual “Herbert C. Brown Award for
Innovations in Hydrogen Research” (a plaque and a cash award). Nominations
are being solicited for this International Award and an international
committee will pick the Award winner. The Awardee will be presenting the
“Award Lecture” during the Symposium Banquet.
The registration fee ($150 for normal and $50 for students) covers the
cost of the symposium abstracts, symposium banquet, lunch and coffee breaks.
The guest registration fee ($50) covers the cost of the symposium banquet,

Representatives from the following companies and labs have agreed
to speak at the Hydrogen Initiative Symposium:
General Motors, General Atomics, U. S. Borax, Millennium Cell, Air Products,
Sandia National Labs, Savannah River National Labs, Idaho National Labs,
Pacific Northwest National Labs, Argonne National Labs, Los Alamos National
Labs, and the Department of Energy. More will be announced soon.
