Well, we officially made it through the first week at our new space. We have been working out a lot of kinks with the building and our setup here, but for the most part everything is going great. As you can see our production room on the second floor is up and running 100%. We're still working out a few "climate" issues, but we are almost there.
If you missed Tuesday's Journal & Courier, you can catch the great article Max wrote about us here: Stormfront Moves To New Digs. You won't want to miss a glimpse of Aaron's sweet desktop background.
As for the building, we finally figured out how the outside lighting works on this place (with the help of our great maintenance man, Jerry). We're excited to drive by the place at night and see the new 4' blue and white "bolt" all lit up. If you haven't been down main street this week, here is your official "sneak peek". It's pretty hard to miss and can officially be seen from 4+ blocks away.
Nice job to the guys at Sign Experts for making everything happen so quickly. Also, thanks to Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association for having such a great blade signage grant program.
The biggest issue of the week came on Wednesday evening with the strong storms in the area. We didn't have any exterior damage to the place, but found out the hard way the roof needs a bit of work to keep the water out of the third floor! We're all hoping an LCD monitor will turn on a week or so after it has been wet!
Finally, the biggest difference at Stormfront this week has been the start of our two new hires Summer and Katie. If you are down our way stop in and meet our two lovely new hires. They will be right up front to answer any questions, grab you a bottle of water or let you know about the promos we have running for the month. Stop in and check us out next time you are walking down Main Street.
