As many of you already have heard, we will be moving our offices next week. The last month and a half has been hectic, but I'm finally glad to say we are making some nice progress. The new space at 424 Main, will not only be in the heart of Downtown, Lafayette but we will also have over 300% more space than our current office. On top of that, it offers a sweet private courtyard which is sure to see some serious b-b-q action this spring!
The building we will be using, is the old Buchanan Designs (or before that Pack Rat Antiques) location. We have done quite a bit of work to really spice the place up and make it our own. First, we painted EVERYTHING in the place. Every section of trim, walls, doors, etc. on all three floors got a fresh coat of paint. This was tedious, but really made a huge difference. We also had new, commercial-grade carpet installed throught which also made a nice impact. New windows and signage were also installed with approval from the city of course. In addition, we had custom Hon workstations installed for our second floor production room.
We are trying to make the building as green as possible by installing automatic hand dryers, energy star certified applicances and plan on offering various recycling options for our employees / customers.
Stormfront Productions is also expanding its workforce and have already hired two new hires for January. In February - March, we plan on bringing in an addition 2-3 employees, raising our staff to 9-10. We are exciting to be helping out the local economy by offering good jobs to people right now.
